We
all have our war stories in search of romance. They are littered
with triumphs, failures, and even some regrets. So why do we keep
trying? The human spirit is unique indeed. We grew up watching the
hero walk away from his true love, so she would have a better life.
Is this possible? Could you walk away from someone you deeply love,
if it meant they would be better off? Or do some just toy with our
emotions and then tire, and walk away to seek a new prey to keep
them occupied, never intending to really go any further?
This is a
tough call. We might face the endeavor as a learning experience,
or wasted time. Some may say you had your chance and you blew it.
Why else would they have left? Again there is no easy answer. Sometimes
the breakup might be the result of hurt feelings, with the injured
party being unwilling to say what the problem was. Perhaps you were
not at fault, perhaps no one was, the ending may be the result of
hidden pain and memories of another lost love, with all the anguish
attached to these feelings.
Suffice it to
say, we each were not intended to be alone, and will no doubt seek
the missing pieces as long as we are able. Temper your judgment
with reason and listen to both voices, the one from your head, and
the one from your heart. Both inputs are important, and needed to
aid you in making the right decision for you!
Course I could
be wrong, I'm no expert! :)
